If you are an enthusiastic and self-motivated postdoctoral scholar with experience in the fields of hydrology and geomorphology, then consider applying for the postdoctoral position advertised by the Department of Forest Resources Management of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver (Canada). The position is available for one year, renewable for a second year contingent on performance and availability of funding.
If successful you will contribute to research aimed at understanding and quantifying the effects of land use and land cover changes on the hydro-geomorphology of channel networks in nival regimes at a wide range of spatial scales. The position is set to start January 1, 2021.
Requirements
You must have strengths in fieldwork and quantitative analyses.
Experience with methodologies for quantifying and mapping bedload transport of coarse sediment is beneficial.
You must have strong communication skills and with demonstrated abilities to publish in international science journals.
You must hold a Ph.D. degree at the time of appointment.
