Please see the attached advert for a 2-year internship through SANBI at SU, the focus is wetlands and GIS. Starting date would be ~end Jan, early Feb. Requirement is a B Hons Geography, Earth Science or Environmental Science and the monthly stipend will be R8 697 (applicant must hold an Honours). Requirements:
Must be a SA citizen.
Young unemployed and *underemployed professionals between the ages of 18 and 35.
Innovative, dynamic, and creative. o A commitment to career development in the environmental/biodiversity sector.
Must hold a B Hons Geography, Earth Science, or Environmental Science.
Must be proficient in ArcGIS or QGIS and have completed an undergraduate and/or post-graduate module in GIS.
Be willing to travel (sometimes overnight) and participate in field data collection in wetlands
