YOUNG SCIENTIST BEST PAPER PRIZE

SAAG, the Southern African Young Geomorphologists (SAYG) group and the Young and Early Career Geographers Taskforce (IGU-YECG) will hold a joint paper session during our conference. Students and new professionals will share their projects, where the best paper will receive a certificate and monetary award ($USD 50) with encouragement to submit a paper to the South African Geographical Journal.


Eligibility

  • Students must submit a draft paper that aligns with author guidelines of the South African Geographical Journal

  • The student must be the first author.

  • The student must present an oral presentation of the paper at the SAAG 2025 conference.

  • The student must be a Southern African Young Geomorphologists member.

  • The paper’s theme must be related to geomorphology.

  • The paper can be a draft manuscript and should not have been previously published.

  • Each candidate may only submit one paper.

Submit your paper by 30 June. Remember to submit your abstract by 21 March.
