The 6th publishing workshop, organised by the SSAG, will be held on 9 September, directly after the SSAG/SAAG Joint Conference, to be held 6-8 September. The workshop draws emerging scholars together with senior colleagues to share experience in publishing and to provide feedback on a draft paper that each participant has prepared.
The workshop is open to any scholar, particularly emerging career researchers (ECRs) with a draft paper on a Geography-related theme who would like to benefit from this engagement. To participate in the workshop, emerging researchers will need to:
Provide a draft paper of up to 8 000 words to the organizer by 25 August. The paper should include an abstract with the article, and the details of the journal to which the paper will be submitted.
Participate in the workshop fully and actively (by reading and commenting on all papers).
Submit the paper to the target journal for publication in six months following the workshop either to an accredited journal or to an edited volume.
