Invitation to contribute to Quaternary Science Advances special issue: Human-Environment Interactions in African Prehistory
Contribute to a special issue dedicated to Human-Environment Interactions in African Prehistory to be published in the new open-access journal Quaternary Science Advances (QSA).
The role of environmental change in shaping human adaptive behaviour is a much-debated topic in the archaeological and palaeoenvironmental sciences. In Africa, the Quaternary Period has been marked by dramatic changes in climate that have been considered to have had potentially significant impacts on human populations, and have been implicated in contributing to major changes in the archaeological record. For this special issue contributions - either as case studies or as methodological or epistemological considerations - that focus on causal links between climate change and human adaptation are invited.
The advantages of publishing in QSA are its rapid, rigorous peer-review process and the opportunity to publish in an online-only journal – so no publication delays. QSA is also going to be indexed in ESCI by Clarivate in 2023. The CiteScoreTracker of QSA in 2022 is 4.8 (https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21101067621) and the predicted impact factor that will be released this year is 3.8. For this special issue, all article processing charges are waived and all articles will be published with open-access free of charge.
